YOOOOOO!!! Last week (or maybe the week before? Damn…totally forgot – we put up a lot of posts!) we wrote about our friends in Singaporean hardcore punk band Radigals returning in full glory (HERE) and today we get to write about yet another killer Singaporean hardcore band Fuse!
The band may have been laying low for some time now but they are about to KILL it in 2023. “Fuse has been on a break since covid started, though we did play one livestream show in 2021. Our last show together was in November 2019 for Regulate and Krust Live in Singapore,” stated the band when we harassed them on IG. “COVID was definitely a different time for all of us. Life was on pause and so was the band. It changed our routine – all of us were busy doing our own thing. However once the restrictions were slowly lifted, we managed to get back together and decided to start a new chapter and a new era of Fuse.”
The band started off 2023 with a recent show in Malaysia this past weekend. “Our KL show was technically the second show we played this year. Our first show was a secret and intimate one however, this KL show was definitely a first with a bigger audience and an amazing rooftop venue (MOUTOU, KL). The energy was unmatched and everything felt right. We were so happy to see everyone enjoying themselves and friends in Malaysia that we haven’t met in years. It felt like a reunion. We are excited to be playing again, locally and internationally.”
Having already ripped it up in Malaysia, the band has just announced a European tour for this summer! “Yeah, we are super happy to announce that we’re heading to Europe and the UK in July this year with DREGS from Vienna. Both bands will be playing for a week in different cities and at a couple of festivals in Europe. One to highlight would be Ieper Fest in Belgium happening 7 -9 July 2023 and we will be playing on the last day.”
So go check them dates in the flyer below…and the band threw in this piece of good news to close out this post:
“We are also happy to announce that we are releasing new music very very soon. Keep a lookout in the next couple of months. This new record will mark the start of this new journey we are taking with a brand new perspective and sound. Basically, everything’s fresh. Even for us, it’ll be really exciting.”
Go follow the band’s socials to keep yourself up to date!
