Saudi Arabian Metalcore Act, MOZEJ, Release EP [Saudi Arabia[

Saudi-based one man metalcore act Mozej (مزعج) has released their EP Unto Others.

The EP is an intense and unrelenting 6 song record that fuses Mozej’s passion for aggressive music influenced by hardcore punk and early pioneers of metalcore. Mozej is a Riyadh based artist that built a reputation for creating noise, dialling in nasty guitar tones, and his unique approach to heavy and alternative music. Guitarist, songwriter, and producer known for his fuzz laden and sludge inspired releases like “Hunter” and “Doomed”, his songs center around the human condition, fantastical beasts, and fear of the unknown.

The 6 tracks on this EP clock in at just under 11 minutes, and were entirely self recorded, performed, and produced by Mozej at his home studio with one goal in mind: to create a record that trims all the fat and keep all the fun bits. Tracks like Cut, Back To Sleep, and icon combine sludgy low end intensity with heavy hardcore breakdowns, while Unto Me and You Will Never Find Happiness introduce melodic passages and soaring singing vocals that fit thematically with the songs. The production makes use of chainsaw guitar tones, gnarly overdriven bass, and throat shredding vocals that match the energy of the dynamic songs.
