Progressive metalcore band Inmemoriam release debut single [Hong Kong]

Progressive metalcore band Inmemoriam release debut single entitled Hyades [Hong Kong]. Just wait until the clean melodic vocals come in – holy shit – this part of the song raises the bar for metalcore in Hong Kong tenfold! Highly talented vocalist who laid down a beautiful vocal line. And then the post-rocky part right after!? Fuhgeddaboudit…so good…

“INMEMORIAM is a four-piece progressive metal band from Hong Kong formed in 2017. The name stems from the idea that everything in reality is in some way reconstructed by the manipulation of our memories. Together, Jimmy Lau, Alice Leung, and Terence Yiu, have spent the past year polishing and refining their sound while writing and recording their songs. The band draws influences from metal titans such as Periphery, Born of Osiris, Monuments, Veil of Maya, SlipKnoT, KoRn, Polaris, TesseracT, and Motionless in White. INMEMORIAM is focused on creating a theatrical and articulated soundscape.”

Can’t believe this is a debut single…hopefully the band is going to expand on those melodic portions of their music in future songs because that certainly sets them apart from the ocean of progressive metalcore bands that inhabit Hong Kong.
