Planetrox China 2017 launches. Winning band performs at an International Music Festival in Canada

For musicians who dream of taking their act international and representing their country on the global stage, now’s the time to act! The Underground is delighted to announce that entries are now open for PLANETROX China 2017.

PLANETROX is a worldwide music competition whose mission is to discover the best new bands and expose them to an international audience. The winning band from each participating country will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at the Envol et Macadam alternative music festival.

Envol et Macadam is held in Quebec, Canada and organized in collaboration with the Quebec Government. It has been running for 22 years and attracts over 20,000 music fans each year. The 2017 festival will take place this September.

Former winners of PLANETROX China include Noughts & Exes, Wonder Garl神奇膠, Shotgun Politics, Bamboo Star and Sugar Bro from Hong Kong and Turtle Giant from Macau.

What bands need to do

· Register by 5 May 2017 at http://planetrox.ca (select China on the left)

· Pick their best original song to submit (mp3 format)

· If chosen, prepare a video of the submitted song!

· Canvass for popular votes!

What the winning band will get
· Return flights and accommodation in Quebec City, Canada.

· A performance slot at the festival and inclusion in festival promotions

· All-access passes to mingle with music professionals and other bands
