Nepal Beatdown Represent – BARE KNUCKLES – Drop Debut Single ’13 Stitches’

Self-designated as (Laketown Beatdown) representing the Pokhara hardcore unit, BARE KNUCKLES, have released their debut single entitled ’13 Stitches’ off their upcoming EP ‘To Bleed Is To Belong’.

“The track is our pit anthem about protecting the ground we’ve bled for, and the violence and sacrifice that come with it. We’ve attempted to channel the raw aggression of standing your ground and not letting anyone water it down. The song’s theme ties directly to our EP, To Bleed Is To Belong, which is all about earning your place in the scene through commitment, sweat, and sacrifice. If you don’t bleed for the game, you don’t belong in the game.

Musically, we’re inspired by bands from old school to new: old school hardcore (Terror, Hatebreed, Biohazard), the new wave (Knocked Loose, Pain of Truth, Sunami), and several hardcore acts around the globe. Our style leans heavily into beatdown/hardcore, but we like to keep creative doors open; for instance, we’ve added some nu-metal influences in this song. On other tracks from our upcoming EP, we’ve experimented with powerviolence and slam, so the EP will showcase different sounds we love while staying true to the beatdown/hardcore core.

We formed in 2024 in Pokhara, Nepal, the city of 7 lakes, and self-designate as Laketown Beatdown, representing the Pokhara hardcore unit. Right now, the EP is in progress, likely coming around the end of the year.”
