Myanmar Punk Band REBEL RIOT Drop Vinyl Release

Don’t become a fascist while fighting fascism! The street punk band The Rebel Riot from Myanmar created a powerful work with their new album “To… Dear Comrade”, which reflects the political reality and resilience of the people of Myanmar both musically and in terms of content.

The world release date for the album “To… Dear Comrade” on vinyl is set for November 1, 2024 in Germany via Abbruch Records, the UK via TNS Records, and Switzerland via United Punk Solidarity. It worth noting that the album was released on CD in Japan (Harimau Asia/Bronze Fist) in May 2024.

The LPs, the same as the previous album One Day (2021), are a solidarity project. The income from vinyl sales will be given to The Rebel Riot and their social and cultural activities.

Don’t miss the opportunity to purchase the vinyl (hand made splattered, red or black) “To… Dear Comrade” and support the resistant power of mynamar punks.

The album includes a total of ten tracks, characterized by lyrics that call for solidarity and speak out against ignorance of global injustices. The band calls on its listeners not to look away, but to actively resist. What is particularly impressive is the determination and authenticity that resonates in each song. Despite the strict state control under which artists in Myanmar have to work, The Rebel Riot have managed to raise their voices loud and clear.

German independent punk label Abbruch Records produced a series of THE REBEL RIOT merch to raise funds for the band and its social projects, in particular Food not bombs. The profit from each sold music record or band merch like a t-shirt, a pin etc. will be given to the band.

The solidarity Rebel Riot merch and LPs “To… Dear Comrade” & “One Day“ (international shipping) are available at: https://shop.abbruch-records.de/kategorie/the-rebel-riot
