Thai post-metal/hardcore band The Darkest Romance have released a lyric video for a 10 min long track that starts off folky-acoustic sounding and ends with an epic atmospheric post-black metal climax.
According to the band:
“The single is called “Kwarm Yao (YOUTH)” which starts out with some clean, calm, acoustic folk and an overall gentleness. Then it moves into orchestra-esque territory with ambient noise, suddenly back to quiet to only be attacked by the band by the intensity of atmospheric black metal. This is the “coming of age” theme. Start with some bittersweet childhood stories then elevate it to pondering over some bigger questions and wondering about the meaning of life, what are we living for?”
