Melodic Hardcore Act Virtues Address Isolation and Mental Health On New Track [Singapore]

Singaporean melodic hardcore act Virtues have released a new single ‘If Only I Could Leave’.

“We wrote and recorded “If Only I Could Leave” last year, and it is a single off of our upcoming album release scheduled to launch sometime in the middle of next year. The song is about losing prospects in life and simply just waiting for enough time to pass for us to become sane again. This is especially relevant in the current global context where the lives of many individuals have been turned upside-down as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The song also references mental health issues as a result of isolation, something that some of our band members personally face on a daily basis.”

As this year has thrown many for a loop with schedules completely in the trash…the band has stated, “We were scheduled to open for Comeback Kid as part of their Asia tour in April this year, but due to the coronavirus situation, the show has been delayed. We are now busy and fully committed to finishing up recording the remaining songs for our upcoming album, and praying that this pandemic situation tides over soon so that we can resume playing shows!”
