Kuala Lumpur Venue Live Fact To Go Virtual For A Full Concert July 29 – Teaser Up

[UPDATE: Huge mistake on our part…in fact, the crowd-funding campaign for this initiative ENDS tomorrow. The actual virtual concert doesn’t go live until July 29! Sorry!]

For the past five years, Kuala Lumpur based live venue “LIVE FACT” has played a part in helping to nurture the local independent music scene. We have created a platform for established and upcoming local acts as well as a touring destination for international artists. We are proud to grow alongside them and be a part of their musical journey. Likewise, we are also a meeting point and hangout spot for the like-minded and gig-goers.

However, in the face of the ongoing pandemic, live performances are in peril, as social distancing makes performing live music and attending live shows all but impossible. Despite the gradual re-opening of local businesses, live events and large public gatherings are still prohibited.

Like lots of businesses, we have gone three months without any income. As a live music venue, our revenues based largely on door takings and beverage sales, without any shows, it is indeed a challenging task to keep things going. To stay afloat, we tried to shift our business by offering packages for recording, rehearsal, and production but still yet to produce any results.

The economic impact we’re experiencing is unprecedented but still, we remain optimistic, we believe that even during this trying time music is still an important part of our lives and we want to stay connected with the artists and their fans.

Hence, we figure out the best way to bring everyone together is to go VIRTUAL!

LIVE FACT VIRTUAL CONCERT
Time: 8pm
Date: Wednesday, 29th July 2020
Streaming Platform: To be announced

A new project conceived by LIVE FACT, to enable the venue to stay afloat as well as to stay connected with the artists and their fans during these trying times. However, from webinars to concerts, everyday social media platforms are being flooded with live videos. People with a short attention span may have trouble focusing for any length of time without being easily distracted.

But there’s nothing like the real thing when it comes to seeing the historical musical moments and hearing the in-depth stories of a band or an artist, which is where documentaries (rockumentaries) come in: At Live Fact, we have the privilege and advantage of capturing these artists onstage, backstage or behind the scenes, coupled with interviews and chronological surveys of the band’s career and ultimately to produce a series of concert films and rockumentaries that brings back the fun and memories of a live music experience.
