Indie Rock Band Faux Pas Release Music Video [Singapore]

Having been lurking in the shadows and “going quiet” for the good part of the last decade, Singaporean indie rock outfit Faux Pas have welcomed the 20s in style.

The band released their comeback single, ‘You Only Live Once’, accompanied with an aggressive music video, on 7 February 2020. A very up-beat track that pokes fun at the Singaporean night life, ‘You Only Live Once’ captures the quintessence of the band’s years of refining their craft and honing their musical and artistic direction.

With a simple, yet driving guitar riff and tone, coupled with the drum solos from drummer Shalihin Hassan, as well as vocalist Nabil Jawahir’s commanding voice reminiscent of the peak years of grunge, the song serves as a refreshing start for Faux Pas, and brings something new to the table in the Singapore music scene. Add a music video that oozes references to the much-beloved ‘Scott Pilgrim vs The World’, and you’ve got a band ready to take on the world (no pun intended).
