India’s heavy music community gets new podcast – Haramcore Inc. – first episode up now

India’s heavy music community gets a nice boost with brand new monthly podcast – the brilliantly titled Haramcore Inc. – go ask a fellow Desi what’s up with the name.

“A monthly podcast that trawls through the subculture of all things heavy in the country, subcontinent & the globe (in that specific order). Discussions range from informal music reviews, op-ed style dissection of news in the metal & hardcore community to animated group banter with guests over a beer or two. From bullet-belted Satanists to djent dudes with neck tattoos, none shall be spared. Tune in to take the edge off, cause things are about to get loud & heavy.”

The first episode is with fucking AMAZING Indian crust-punk-screamo act False Flag.

“Featuring on Episode One of Haramcore Inc. are crust punk/screamo band False Flag. Playing a unique style of music that sets them apart in the subcontinent, we talk about subjects close to our hearts. Musicianship versus skillsmanship, a songwriter’s responsibility to their audience, the YouTube musician phenomenon, bridging the gap between fans & the music, dwindling turnouts at gigs in a world of instant gratification & how musical audiences mature over time in scenes across the globe. Tune in to know more. Stay Haramcore.”

The podcast is the brainchild of post-hardcore act Pacifist‘s vocalist. Check out his band at this link: https://www.facebook.com/PacifistIndia/
