We’re stoked to help promote the latest episode of the long-running podcast Horns Up out of India – this is the 178th episode folks! RESPECT! Their latest episode sees the awesome (and MAD knowledgeable) hosts sit down with Pakistani death metal band Azaab and go over a whole bunch of things including the release of their brand new debut album (streaming further below).

“Meet Azaab, a 5-piece death metal band based in Islamabad, Pakistan who are going all guns blazing on their debut album, Summoning The Cataclysm. In a candid chat with Animesh and Peter, founders and guitarists Shahab Khan and Afraz Mamoon spill the beans on politics, production, promotion and more!”

When an interview starts with the following, you know it’s going to be good. In regards to the dearth of metal bands in Pakistan, “You know all these bands in the west really have nothing to complain about…hahahaha…it’s countries like Pakistan – we should be making the most brutal, most angry shit there is you know, cause we’re a third world country with all the oppression and inequality and these social problems. Yet, I’m quite ashamed of the music that comes out of Pakistan.”
