Ex Members of Aggressive Dogs Start New Rock Act The Undertaker – Release EP [Japan]

When a submission comes in that says “Aggressive Dogs” in the body of the text, we sit up to listen carefully. For those familiar with Japanese hardcore will certainly have heard this name as one of the many Japanese hardcore bands that was widely accepted and supported by the world of hardcore at large. In particular, it was this track that got us madly hooked on the band:

So today a submission came through about a brand new band called The Undertaker that features ex-members of Aggressive Dogs and Survive. It turns out though, the new band is more of a rock-focused act but still has SOME hints of hardcore/punk in it if you listen carefully. The vocals in particular almost has a Type O Negative vibe to them. According to the press released, “The band’s worldview is truly one-of-a-kind, ranging from old-school Japanese hardcore, which has long been respected in the international scene, to extreme metal, and lyrics that incorporate Japanese poetry. Their unparalleled sound is sure to take the scene by storm.”

Apparently, new music will be out soon, for now go ahead and enjoy their debut release.
