DEMO ALERT: Kathmandu Add New HXC Blood With TOTAL MENACE [Nepal]

The Nepali hardcore scene just got another dose of new blood in the scene! Check out TOTAL MENACE on their debut demo ‘Basanta Ritu Pradarshan (Spring Demonstration)’. Though this is a brand new band, the members have been involved in the Nepali hardcore scene for a decade now doing time in bands such as NAINSOOK, VOID TO EXIST, and DISCORD. ALL bangers…

Lyrically, the band explores diverse themes. The first track addresses the pressures of living the daily grind. The second track, Sab Pagal (which translates to “Everyone’s Crazy/Insane”) tackles mental health, illustrating how people struggling with mental illnesses are perceived and how they navigate their challenges. The title of the third track pays tribute to the bands that have influenced Total Menace, while the lyrics focus on keeping a positive mindset and not giving a fuck. The fourth track is about the highs of a significant trip. The final track is a Pushback cover – it honors the legacy of a formidable yet lesser-known band in the Nepali scene. Musically, Total Menace plays metallic hardcore, drawing inspiration from bands like Sunami, Speed, and Big Boy, as well as Asian bands like Defy and Whispers.
