The Turkish one-man black metal project, OHOL YEG returns with a new full-length album ‘Shadows of the Future Converged’. Ohol Yeg is known for melding raw and atmospheric black metal with deep-rooted Turkic mythos. Following a hiatus of full-length albums since the acclaimed 2017 album Ölü Orman, artist Sazakan—who has been at the forefront of the Turkish black metal scene since 2015, particularly in Ankara—returns with a project that promises to redefine his legacy.
Shadows of the Future Converged unveils 11 tracks that narrate a mythic apocalypse rooted in Turkic lore. Drawing inspiration from ancient Turkic elements, the album seeks to create a new sequel saga that encapsulates both the brutality and the beauty of the rapidly converging crises of the future. Sazakan describes the record as his most refined work to date, emphasising its fresh and improved sound developed through years of dedicated progression.
“Shadows of the Future Converged represents years of refined DIY experience and a lengthy journey of creative evolution,” says Sazakan. “While preserving the raw essence that defines Ohol Yeg, the album offers listeners the most fully realized expression of my artistic vision to date.”
In a testament to his commitment to authenticity, Sazakan personally recorded and mixed every track in isolation, ensuring that the album’s raw edge remains intact. The reamping process was expertly managed by Wrath Vault, providing a professional yet visceral finish that enhances the album’s atmospheric intensity.

The album art captures the whole theme of the album with a striking cover art by Vörgot Gainovel. The artwork, featuring a vortex ominously approaching Earth to “destroy all social constructs, starting with religion”, serves as a powerful metaphor for the thematic undercurrents of myth, apocalypse and rebirth present throughout the record.
