sailing by the sunlit sea is a DIY guitar-driven instrumental bedroom project based in Mindanao, Philippines.

“Hello everyone!

I just released my debut EP “pipeloads and feeble dreams”. The EP consists of contrasting sounds ranging from melodic hardcore to midwest emo. Each track is deliberately distinct, covering quite an area across the underground music spectrum It starts quite heavy and aggressive and ends with a calming and soothing resolution. My major influences for this project genre-wise are mathrock, midwest emo and melodic hardcore. Since I’m still trying to find my sound and can’t decide which specific direction to tread, I just told myself, “aaah!fuck it, just do whatever you want, it’s not like it’s a big deal”. Since it’s my first time producing my own music, it’s still quite rough around the edges.
