Beatdown Band LETHAL SIX Release New Single [Indonesia]

Formed in 2021, LETHAL SIX is an Indonesian metallic hardcore unit that features members of Celebes Island’s finest hardcore bands like Huminoid, Dejected, Defy, Endgrave and Crushing Grief. Lethal Six recently released a new single ‘Upsurge / Final.

The band had released a single entitled ‘Only Pain’ in 2022 prior to recording the new single. The single was recorded separately between late March to early April 2023. Shiddiq (guitars) recorded all the instrumentals in Makassar with the help of Alif (drums) on the drum production/engineering who then also mix and master the song. Matthias (vocals) recorded the vocal tracks in Manado at Moshpit Studio Recording.

‘Upsurge / Final Amen’ consists of two parts the first part being an instrumental intro track that features clean electric guitars and a brooding sample that leads into the ‘main’ song. The second part, Final Amen offers a blend of downbeat stompiness of beatdown mosh parts and driving sinister metal riffing of 90s hardcore. The band combined elements from thrash metal and death metal with hardcore aggression and ethics — with powerful, demonic, and painful-sounding vocals — reminiscent of bands like All Out War, Confusion, Kickback, Arkangel, to Obituary.
