Singapore Oi Legends THE BOIS Drop Homage To Their Home On New MV

It’s mad watching this video and feeling all emotional even though we’re not from Singapore…Singapore oi legends THE BOIS have just released an amazing music video for the brand new track ‘LIONCITY SKINHEADS’ where the singer, Baba, traveled back to Singapore and got the entire scene to come out and be part of the video. The track serves as a little teaser for the band’s upcoming full length. Can’t wait to hear the whole thing!

“The new MV is called “Lion City Skinheads” written quite some time back as tribute to the lion city punk and skinhead scene. We’ve been through a lot as society firstly think we are racists (the history of majority of the 80’s skinheads in the UK) and of course how media portrays us as violent racist thugs. And also some people form all over saying we are just there for the fashion and it’s not a way of life. For some of us it’s like a religion and we are here to keep the faith.

We were offered to do the mv by one of our very good friends, Firman who is an amazing photographer who did a lot for the underground scene in Lion City. He decided he wanted to do an mv for us. And with the help of another good friend on sound, Alfrey, we managed to shoot the video when I was back home to visit family and friends. It’s done in Singapore because it’s a tribute to the Lion City scene. Hopefully if you’re one of us you’ll Keep The Faith and prove them wrong we are Here To Stay!”
