Pop Punk Band TAKEN ABACK Release MV For New Single ‘Speedster’ [India]

What a day…we have TWO Indian punk bands to write about back to back. This time we have a brand new music video by pop punk band TAKEN ABACK for a track entitled ‘Speedster’. Vocals are CRAZY good…

When we asked for background on the band, they stated, “We’re passionate about writing and composing music, and performing live is a thrill like no other. Pop punk provides the perfect platform for me to express myself, regardless of my skill level as a singer, guitarist, or artist. It’s a powerful outlet for me to tap into my inner strength and voice my emotions. Our music is heavily influenced by iconic pop punk bands like Blink-182, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, and The Offspring. These legends have shaped the genre and inspired me to create my own unique sound.”

And of course, we had to ask about being a punk band in India where there isn’t really much of a scene for punk rock. “Honestly, we don’t worry too much about what others think. We’re in this for the love of punk music and the freedom it gives us to express ourselves. As a band from Mawngap village in Northeast India, we’re proud to be putting our town and city on the map. We’re all about spreading our energy and passion for punk music, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes us!”
