Punk Rock Band 18FEVERS Release New EP ‘Cut Me Up’ [Korea]

Korean punk band 18FEVERS have released their newest EP ‘Cut Me Up’ with two music videos for the tracks “Ignorace” and “Cut Me Up”.

“Cut Me Up” represents the further solidification of 18Fevers’ core sound as a band. While only three songs in length, each song has a unique sound that represents the influences of 18Fevers musically and lyrically. The title track “Cut Me Up” is a dark and danceable post-punk number exploring the nature of bad relationships that hurt so good you keep coming back.

“Just A Nipple” bluntly spits fury and anger through old school hardcore punk at the double standards women face in society as their bodies have been reduced to overlysexualized objects to be hidden so as not to offend.

“Ignorance” is a catchy but wry modern punk take down of people not wanting to take the first step in making changes in the world but rather hiding behind the mantra of “ignorance is bliss” and forgetting any problems that may make them uncomfortable.

The sonic and lyrical themes continue 18Fevers’ approach of mixing sounds and genres while dealing with grown up social, political, and personal issues that are at the very center of the punk ethos.
