Math Rock/Hardcore Punk Creature Named OCTOPOULPE Announces Asian Tourdates

Born in a fish tank in Seoul in 2015 but relocated to Mexico, Octopoulpe is a half-naked creature playing tentacular music, from Math-rock to hardcore punk. Thanks to his many tentacles, he can play drums and control other instruments, lights, and video projections at the same time, allowing him to play with his digital self, as well as with many other guests. The lyrics cover a lot of different and personal topics that can either be political or pop culture.

Octopoulpe has just released a brand new album (streaming further below) and has announced new Asian tourdates.

The creature states, “‘Alt-164’ is Octopoulpe’s 3rd album. While the first one “Man Won” is Korean influenced and the second one “Kichompré” is more about France, this last one definitely has a strong Mexican taste. Once again, the lyrics talk about various things such as police violence, government corruption, Lucha Libre, isolation during the pandemic, the Rock, global warming, etc.”

Tourdates can be seen in the flyer below:
