Math rock band Tranquil from Singapore has released their third single ‘Panic and Confusion’.
“Continuing on their musical journey as a quartet, the song encapsulates days where everything is seemingly programmed to go wrong no matter what you do. Eventually, the life lessons we learn are to just laugh it off and realize the world works in ways, we will never truly understand and that there is a reason behind everything.
“Panic and Confusion” is a musical piece with this idea in its bloodstream and a reminder to all of us to keep our chin up, stay positive, and know that tomorrow is a new day.
Based in the urban concrete jungle of Singapore, the members of Tranquil spent their foundation years in jamming studios all over the city-state and bonded over their shared passions for sound, rhythm, and beats.
With tunes and songs stuck in their heads, the 4-man band consisting of Josef (Guitars), Nashir (Drums), Naim (Bassist) & Shah (Guitars), came together in 2019 to put together their mesh of math/post-rock with each member bringing a unique set of musical aesthetics to the band.
Tranquil’s music is what you would get if you combined Rock Music, RNB, and Post-Rock into a melting pot and topped it off with a dash of Funk while still balancing Melody and Harmony on top of it.
The belief of Tranquil and its song-writing methods are based upon the idea that each and every one of us goes through the same issues and problems in life and the members use the medium of music to express these shared struggles we all face and incorporate them into their end products that they wish to share with the world.
The band also keeps loyal to its sound by self-producing its music to ensure the feelings and emotions, punch through the songs they release.
Ultimately, the goal of Tranquil is to break barriers amongst each other and to bring each and every one of us closer to make us all click with that realization, that all of us have the same dreams and hopes, to be happy, healthy, and loved.
Over the years, Tranquil have grown comfortable jumping genres as well as mashing up influences and are always trying their best to create music that captivates and keeps you humming for days.
The band will be playing their first festival set on 6th November 2021, at 6 pm. They will be playing at Baybeats 2021, Singapore’s forefront local music festival showcasing artists and bands in the music scene providing them a platform for musical exposure.
Baybeats being a festival that draws a large crowd for almost 20 years after its first inception – Tranquil will be sharing the iconic Esplanade’s Outdoor Theatre with other upcoming bands in this 4-day festival.”
