A tribute show has been organized to celebrate the life of Kimi in Singapore. The following info was submitted by the promoter:
“The DIY scene in Malaysia and South East Asia has suffered a huge blow with the recent passing of Kimi last Saturday. He played an instrumental role in planning countless tours for overseas bands, organising a myriad of shows and helping plenty of emerging bands far and wide with the printing, pressing and overall production of their physical releases.
Thank you for your friendship and everything you’ve helped me with every week and the past years. To put everything you’ve done for me, the label, my friends and the community into words is simply impossible. Forever grateful. Love your friends…die laughing.
A solidarity and tribute gig for Kimi.
22.02.20 / Lithe House / 7pm
This one’s for you, Kim K Kim
Rest in peace.
The Rabies / Chrup tour was the most recent effort by the late Kimi who not only helped to coordinate but also co-release their tour tape and was meant to organise their show in KL. We hope everyone who knew Kimi one way or another would be able to come down, show solidarity and support his last efforts and may the tour be a success for Rabies & Chrup.
There will be a tin at the shows beginning from the Singapore show tomorrow to raise funds which will be passed to Kimi’s immediate family.”
