Yo – You Rock With Hardcore From The Philippines? Be About This – BUZZKILL Drop EP

There is this phenomenon called the “Turnstile”-effect that a lot of podcasters and journalists talk about with the massive influence and impact Turnstile has had on the planet. (Granted, not all parts of the world may have felt it yet.) Some of the “effects” are in sheer number of people attending shows now, or just the huge number of shows in general, and then of course the impact on the “sound” of current/modern day hardcore. On that front, Philippines’ own BUZZKILL have dropped one of our favorite Asian EP’s of the year with ‘Don’t Mess Around’. Those grooves, riffs, sonic effects all sound familiar, BUT the band still puts their own spin on this. For real – these songs are so insanely well written (the breakdown in Bad Habit is HARD).

Go blast this shit far and wide.
