YES – India’s Got a New Hardcore Band – Go Check Out CATATONIC!!! [India]

YOOOOOOOOOO!!! FINALLY!!!! India’s hardcore scene has a brand new contender to start messing with the metal AF landscape that has a stranglehold on the scene there. Newly formed 3 piece hardcore band CATATONIC have just dropped their debut single ‘Wither’ off their upcoming EP and it is a CERTIFIED banger. There is so much melancholy captured on this one track both in the choice of chords, but especially in the throat-shredding vocal delivery. The band has said “The song is about betrayal, disillusionment, loss and the emotional toll of a collapsed idealism” which makes the hopelessness captured on this track make so much sense. It also makes even more sense when they add that their influences range from Title Fight to Converge to At the Drive In to Cave In.
