Will forever champion fellow immigrants who inhabit this world bringing their own culture, tradition and language to enrich the communities the move into.

Canadian hardcore band FISTFIGHT is a new band that houses multiple Filipino members.

Here’s the write up:

The band is a product of the Filipino diaspora. Comprising of Filipino immigrants with a passion for creating hardcore music and enforced by Canadian locals with the same thirst and appreciation for the genre, the band was formed in the small city-big town raucous corners of 2022. The band is the brain-child of David Ojeda-a Filipino known in the music scenes of UAE who emigrated to Canada and delved into the immigrant experience with another fellow Filipino band member who grew up in Hong Kong and experienced the same hardships and struggles of trying to fit in.

The very human hardships and conflicts in life, tinged with the cultural aspects of loss and grappling with identities, resonate with each song of the band and reflects the encouragement to overcome and never give up in the face of adversity. The band is in the process of finishing their full length album set to be released next year.”
