UAE Progressive Metal Act REGUS Release New Single [UAE]

REGUS is a progressive metal band hailing from the UAE, formed in 2016 at Middlesex University Dubai on a whim, simply to compete at the inter-university battle of the band’s which they ended up winning first place in 2017.

The band blends atmospheric textures with emotionally charged riffs, Regus draws influence from genre-defying artists such as Katatonia, Devin Townsend, Steven Wilson, and Porcupine Tree. Their sound explores the depths of introspection, transformation, and mental resilience.

Their debut full-length album, Simulation Machine (2023), is a culmination of years of sonic experimentation—an amalgamation of material written as early as 2018. The album earned a feature on The Metal Archives, highlighting the band’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of progressive metal within the Middle Eastern scene.

Their new track, “Repel the Cycle,” encapsulates the band’s core themes: breaking the loop of overthinking and facing one’s inner demons head-on.

Regus is currently working on their second full length album titled “All in All”.
