TROPOS 6.0 is the 6th edition of the TROPOS series that An ATMOS Initiatve started back in 2016. With the aim of introducing exciting regional and local talent to the masses, we have organised and brought in bands such as Inspirative from Thailand, Earthmover from Philippines, Lust from Malaysia and have also included local acts such as Spacedays, Paint The Sky Red, Arajua, T-Rex and many more into these specially curated line-up.
For our 6th edition, we are partnering with Anaki Records – a fellow independent label and event venue from Singapore – and we are finally bringing in Philippines math-rock behemoths, tide/edit who are touring the region in support of their newest album “All My Friends” which will be released on 25th August 2018. They have created quite a stir in the worldwide instrumental/math-rock scene and their upcoming release is one where many are indeed looking forward to. Another act we are bringing in is a band called Sound Architects whose debut album “In Times Of Need” was lauded for having “…mastered the balance between atmosphere and aggression..” by Youngstar Philippines. This will be their first ever overseas gig.
Completing the line-up are 4 local instrumental/math-rock acts and they are hauste, Permanence, Fxtrt and Susurrus.
