Formed in 2021, SPLINTER is a thrash metal trio based out of Pune & Kolkata, India. Coming from the pits of the third world, each track on this EP offers a mix of the no-bullshit, old school thrash sound mixed with influences across the extreme metal board. Taking cues from the 80s Bay Area scene, Teutonic Thrash metal titans, South American extreme metal sounds, and old school death metal giants; this EP screams metal in its most ruthless, aggressive, and no-holds-barred approach.

Lyrically, Splinter covers a lot of ground. From ongoing sociopolitical issues to historical events, horror themes to fictional characters; there are many ideas that can be found in the music. Overall, the tone of the EP is confrontational and delivers cathartic thrashing.
