Thailand Hardcore Coming In Hard – CHAINFIGHT Drop MV | Grand Return of GRIMTOOTH

Yo…what a week for Thai hardcore.

First up, CHAIN FIGHT have dropped a music video for the track ‘Unconscious Melodies’ off their recently released EP released last year. “Bangkok’s hardcore and metal scene welcomes a new force of raw energy and aggression with the upcoming release of Chainfight, the debut self-titled EP by the band of the same name. Set to drop on January 31, 2025, this release marks the arrival of a band determined to revive the powerful and gritty sound of early 2000s hardcore, with a modern edge and heavy metal undertones. Formed in 2023, Chainfight began as a shared vision between bassist Twish and vocalist Pratchaya, who wanted to channel their passion for the era’s hardcore music into a fresh, dynamic project. The duo quickly enlisted guitarist Jeeraset and drummer Akekaphong to complete the lineup, solidifying a band poised to make waves in the global hardcore and metal community.”

And then we have the grand return of hardcore band GRIMTOOTH who have released an entire EP of new music, their first in over a decade.
