Teenage Shoegaze Band Precal Dropouts Release New Single [Philippines]

Shoegaze act Precal Dropout drop new single ‘For Ginger & Fiona’ [Philippines].

“With all the members within the 16-18-year-old range, Filipino gazers Precal Dropoutsare definitely a band to look forward to, they started off strong with their debut single ‘Daragang Magayon’ which featured art-rock flavors with shoegaze and noise pop textures. The dream-pop gem is ‘Stay.. It’s Eventide’ which features a very quirky rhythm section, from the Shoegaze Pilipinas compilation ‘Alimbukad’ that made us wish for more.

After a year of inactivity, they finally broke their silence with the beautifully ethereal ‘For Ginger & Fiona’, a track that features Slowdive-esque guitars, dual vocals reminiscent of Ride, and a blazing rhythm section. The track builds into this loud but beautiful ending section reminiscent of Mogwai.

The band has also stated on their Bandcamp that the track will also be appearing on their soon-to-be-released debut EP, so thankfully, we’ll definitely see more from this exciting three-piece.”
