When Your Talented Friends Start a Billion Bands and They All Rule – Check Out Nervous Strain

Like many of you, we too have several friends who are so talented as musicians and songwriters that they can’t (and should not) hold those talents captive behind any ONE particular genre. Our friend Nicholas outta Singapore who plays in punk band Bruised Willies, stoner-sludge band Marijannah, darkwave band Blood Pact, and melodic hardcore band Abbatoir Blues is a perfect example of this.

Another great friend, Indra outta Indonesia, moonlights in massive Indonesian hardcore band Final Attack:

and recently dropped a badass EP by his new band ZIP:

And today has released the debut track of his 90’s inspired alt-rock band called Nervous Strain featuring members of Final Attack, No Excuse, A Thousand Punches – and of course, it fucking RULES. Right from that opening groove a massive sense of nostalgia comes flooding back…this is so well done. Can’t wait to hear a full record of tracks from this band.
