Taiwan’s Heartown Festival have made an announcement regarding their upcoming massive music festival to be held in November. Main headliner Papa Roach will no longer be performing due to the organisers being scammed out of money by the agent handling Papa Roach.
Read more below…
Dear all,
Regrettably, the Nov. 26, 2016 HEARTOWN FESTIVAL featuring PAPA ROACH must be canceled, but the rest of performers will remain the same.
Because WE HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.
For the last three years, we’ve been working with a promoter called Juicy Hsu. This year, we had asked her to help us to get PAPA ROACH and FALLING IN REVERSE. She told us the agency has confirmed the show, and also singed the contracts, therefore, we remitted 50% of the bands show fee as the deposit to her. Then we announced that PAPA ROACH will be in HEARTOWN FESTIVAL.
When we asked Juicy about these things, she had promised that PAPA ROACH and FALLING IN REVERSE will come to Taiwan without a doubt.
However, the contracts were fake. The agency told us, they had never confirmed these things with Juicy and also never get the deposit. She spent all the money which was for those two bands.
When we found this situation, we started to talk to the agency directly. Trying to solve the problem, but it was too late, the time frame is unavailable.
We are so sorry about this, and we will do our best to offer them come next time. And we’ve tried to fix this, we got another three bands to make you up. Hope you are still on our side.
Once again, we are sorry for this situation, and thanks for understanding. The next announcement is at 7 o’clock, see you then.
