After years of anticipation following their acclaimed EP Desperate Search, Jakarta-based Straight Edge hardcore band NO EXCUSE finally release their full-length album In This Life Or Another.
The album features 9 new tracks, including 2 promotional songs released in 2023, and comes with live session bonus tracks: “Friends and Family” (Thinking Straight) and “Pecundang” (Looserz). Music-wise, In This Life Or Another blends the raw
aggression of 90s and 2000s hardcore with a modern approach, delivering a sound that is both classic and current. Sharp riffs, relentless tempos, and confrontational vocals define the record, staying true to hardcore’s uncompromising roots while sounding grounded in the present.
No Excuse is widely recognized as one of the most consistent and outspoken carriers of straight edge values in the local scene. Backed by members who already well known in the hardcore/punk scene, the album reflects maturity, discipline, and conviction,
making it more than just an aggressive release, but a clear statement of purpose.
This release stands as a significant milestone for contemporary straight edge hardcore in Indonesia.
