Stoner Rock Trio GUNS FROM COUNTRYSIDE Release Debut Album [India]

GUNS FROM COUNTRYSIDE are a power trio heavy rock band formed in 2016 in Rinchenpong, Sikkim, India.

“Although we started off as a typical rock n roll band we slowly expanded towards stoner rock, sludge, blues rock and hard rock striking a fine balance between all of these genres, reinventing our own sound. We released our debut multilingual full-length album ‘Cahoot With The Devil’ a few days ago which consists of 4 songs written in English, 3 in Nepali, and 1 instrumental.

A dream and a desire to create a raw, dirty, and punchy record, we landed in Anomaly Sound Designs, Sukna (Siliguri). We had been practicing those songs for a quite while and took off a week’s break from everything to head on to the studio in September of 2022. Thanks to Mr. Aakash for trusting us and allowing us to record it the old-school way. In this modern world, where everybody is after a perfect sound with perfect timings, no click tracks were used in the process, our inner metronome worked really well in creating this live recorded rock n roll music. A few overdubs of guitar solos and vocals were recorded later to make it a pleasantly badass record.”
