Stoked To Help Debut Brand New Hong Kong Hardcore Band CMDZ’s Debut Single

Today we get to help debut brand new Hong Kong-based melodic hardcore band CMDZ as they rip through a massively technical, emotional, and heavy track entitled ‘Equilibrium’. “We are highly influenced by bands like Counterparts, Heart in Hand, Being As An Ocean,” states the members of the band who got together in July of 2021. Right from the get-go, those influences are loud and proud on this excellently produced release – recorded right here in Hong Kong at Battle Stage under the careful hands of local legend Chapman So (drummer of INSANE math-rock band TFVSJS).

It’s been a strange couple of years here in Hong Kong, and on this debut single, the band says, “We are looking at how imbalance takes us to extremes. We are all born in a world that has already fallen apart, who do you want to control your destiny?”

So stoked to hear future releases from this band! We don’t have a lot of hardcore bands in Hong Kong – so this is very exciting for those few diehards who live here!
