Slovenly Recordings is ecstatic to announce the 10th edition of We’re Loud Fest — in Saigon! Four days of punk, hardcore, garage, and rock’n’roll in Vietnam’s swingin’ southern metropolis!
Featuring: TOTAL CONTROL (Australia), THE MONSTERS (Switzerland), CÚT LỘN (Hanoi), THE TWEEZERS (Japan), THE CAVEMEN (New Zealand), DISTRICT 105 (Saigon), and more!! See the initial lineup on our website — more will be added.
These days, Ho Chi Minh City (or as the locals still call it, Saigon) is known for delicious, healthy (and cheap!) cuisine, and a warm welcome for visitors from all over. The relaxed friendliness of the locals can be surprising considering their long history of foreign intrusion (not to mention their insane traffic!)
Punk rock is not something it is known for. But for one weekend in November 2019, rock’n’roll weirdos from all over the globe will join locals and their burgeoning music scene for four nights & three days of gigs and parties, with events like poolside record markets and even a boat cruise in the planning.
Festival passes, which will grant access to all four days of events, will be €69 and will go on sale in late June. This is affordable for most — but not for most locals, who earn on average only around $450 per month. To address this economic disparity, half of the income from sales of the festival pass will be budgeted to subsidize a larger Saturday event with a low cost ticket.
