SIX9SIX, From Asia’s Beatdown Capital MALAYSIA, Drop New Single ‘Hard Mode’

SIX9SIX is a Beatdown/Nu-Metal band based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since moving to the UK, we have just gone ahead and referred to Malaysia as Asia’s beatdown capital…there are so many SICK bands from Malaysia with the only thing sicker than the hard music they make, is the MADNESS of the live shows.

The band states, “This all started in 2024 when we gathered a lineup of members who shared the same bold and uncompromising musical vision. With Azman on vocals, and Jay as the lead guitarist with sharp, energetic riffs, Hareh as the second guitarist reinforcing their wall of sound, Ammar on drums with hard-hitting aggression, and Paul bringing groove and depth as the bassist. Our music style is a blend of beatdown and Nu-Metal. We’re heavily influenced by bands like Varials, Limp Bizkit, Knocked Loose, and more and that’s why we’re known for our breakdowns and vocal delivery that fuses attitude-driven rap with raw screams that hit deep on an emotional level.”

SIX9SIX have just dropped their latest track ‘Hard Mode’ featuring the legend Ijam of RESTRAINT. Vocalist, Azman, states, “This song talks about a group of young individuals determined to break past their own limits — doing what’s never been done before and choosing the hardest path to reach the top. Their lyrics are a reflection of struggle, life’s pressures, the will to rise again, and the courage to fight back.”
