Off the heels of their debut overseas performance at Taiwan’s prestigious Golden Melody Music Festival in July, motifs is thrilled to announce their highly-anticipated tour of Asia. The tour will be a memorable musical experience, featuring an incredible 6-city lineup of performances and special guests to captivate regional audiences.
The tour kicks off on 21 October at the Blueprint Livehouse in Bangkok, Thailand, where motifs will be joined by Thai shoegazers Death of Heather and Telever. This show is set to be one night of pure, noisy magic that Bangkok won’t soon forget. Next, motifs will return to Singapore for the AXEAN Music Festival, taking place from 28-29 October at Goodman Arts Centre. Fans can expect two unforgettable days of music by bands and artistes from around the region. The tour continues in December with a stop in Hong Kong on 6 December, where motifs will perform at the MOM Live House, supported by Hong Kong’s dream-pop/shoegaze upstarts Tofu Kingdom, fresh from their appearances at Clockenflap and Zandari Festa. Following that, motifs will visit Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo for a double bill with long-running American shoegaze merchants The Bilinda Butchers.
These shows promise to be an exceptional musical experience, combining the talents of two incredible bands for a night of musical brilliance, alongside locals Mariana in our Heads, Belinda May, mishca, softsurf, and Meishi Smile.
The tour concludes on 11 Dec at Livehouse Fever in Tokyo, where motifs will be supported by Tokyo indie rock trio Downt, capping off an incredible journey across Asia.
