As you read through their announcement about cancelling Nepal’s annual premier heavy music festival entitled Silence Festival you will no doubt wholeheartedly understand AND support this decision. Life comes first and as they mention in their announcement, it is much more important to put all energy and efforts into rebuilding this beautiful country after the deadly earthquake.
More power to our brothers in arms in Nepal.
“Dear valued and loyal metal heads,
It is with our deep regret to inform you that we will not be hosting Silence Festival 6 this year. Due to the devastating earthquakes that have hit our country, we feel that it is more appropriate to focus our efforts and funding on aid relief for those in our time of need. This was our main time to choose our bands and headliners and we were unable to do that. We appreciate your continued support and ask that you help us raise money instead by attending our upcoming fundraising event, METAL FOR NEPAL. It will be just as loud, but on a smaller scale.
Thank you again and stay tuned for Metal For Nepal in Kathmandu.
Sincerely,
Silence Entertainment Family”
