Shoegaze Act Appi Release Music Video For Upcoming Debut Album [Japan]

We are so blessed when amazing bands/artists from Asia get in touch with us. The feeling of knowing that we are something that people consider important is such a frickin’ good feeling.

Today we get to help announce Japanese shoegaze solo act Appi‘s upcoming debut album with a new music video she just dropped. The project was dreamt up by Hisana, who is also a member of post-rock band Nim who we’ve written about several times here. She was kind enough to let us know that this side project, Appi, started last summer as she was looking to do something a little more delicate and less huge in sound like our main project Nim. “Nim is so loud (we stack triple guitars and all the instruments at almost max volume). In fact, I like music that is almost completely the opposite of what we create, stuff like hardcore and dream pop. So with Appi I wanted to combine these elements”.

She released demo tracks last year (streaming above), but today we get to help announce that she will be releasing her debut album on November 18! Two songs off the album are already streaming below.

For now, go follow here at this link:

And then make sure to come back on November 18 because hopefully, her full album will be on streaming platforms for us all to get stoked on!
