Seemingly Going At It Alone – Indian Hardcore Band PACIFIST Continue To Release Straight Gold

Indian hardcore band PACIFIST have kept it year after year. And all the while their passion for this shit called hardcore just doesn’t seem to diminish…and add to that, their music just keeps getting better. Check out the band’s latest track, the phenomenal ‘Running Out’ off the band’s upcoming EP. This song is so incredible. A musical masterpiece.

‘Running Out’ is a forewarning – a bleak portrayal of the world we live in, with a faintly receding glimmer of hope. Switching back and forth in call and response, the song switches from skepticism, idealistic frustration and measured optimism.

The spiritual successor to ‘Greyscale Dreams’, Pacifist shift from the urban decay & despair of Bombay to a wider commentary on the world at large with this track, fresh off their upcoming EP ‘five’. The EP is scheduled to be released in January 2026, just a few weeks before their debut performance at Lollapalooza India.

five is communion. five is standing strong.
five is the fist that fights the good fight.

More than a number or a milestone; a statement about sticking with the hardcore ethic, about keeping a legacy alive in a world that no longer sees it as necessary. Whilst living culturally orphaned in a third world that’s set in steady decline, ‘five’ is our sermon on a scarce & fast dying approach to music with plenty of emotional heft.

Born in an era of modern disconnect – the radical thing to do is embrace the ideals of our past. the slow truth, tangible feelings, reality as perceived, not projected. The missing blocks of our human existence expressed while cutting away from sterile, clinical methods of creation in the modern day & age – ‘five’ is an act of rebellion, a protest to the status quo, challenging the ongoing simulated exploitation of human ability.
