Screamo/post hardcore band TNG have released a moving music video for new single ‘Law’ which they explain in the following way:
“This is Law. A visual representation of how justice has never been fair in the Philippines. We used certain images like ropes to show how we struggled every day and how we try to get out of this corrupt system that we are in.
The dancers represent the daily life of an ordinary Filipino where when we get hurt we just always smile and never have the guts to question the system. At the end of the video, there is a folk dance called Cariñosa where we can see how the dancers smiled through the pain just like what a normal Filipino does.
The goal of the music video is to raise awareness and trigger minds to make a stand and question the people who are responsible for making this country sink into the depths of despair. We took the advantage of using our platform to spread words of freedom and break the chains of common beliefs that we should just follow what they will tell us and never question them for they know better.
In these hard times that we are facing, we as artists have the loudest voices that can be heard and understood by many. That’s why we want to continue sharing these experiences about life and pain.”
Very cool to see some fellow Asian extreme musicheads who live out here in the west (United Kingdom to be precise) also continuing to actually play music instead of...
