Yooooooooo…hot off the presses (do people even know what that means anymore?!?! Hahhahaha)…
London-based badasses QUALITY CONTROL have announced that they’ve picked up Singaporean hardcore band MYSTIQUE to drop the band’s debut album. Mystique is a newer Singaporean hardcore band who aren’t shy about their roots and influences. Vocalist, Syaf, stated, “There will be 8 tracks on the LP which will include a re-recorded version of ‘Face Your Fate’. On this record we fully draw upon our influences such as Cro-Mags and Leeway.”
Quality Control is a label that is hardcore to its bone. The label is home to so many phenomenal hardcore bands that reside all over the world. They don’t just release records from areas that are hotbeds of hardcore (USA) but purposely look for bands to work with maybe lesser known regions. The band just announced the signing of Brazilian hardcore band JOKER (band rules!) and then immediately follow it up with Mystique.
Quality Control’s Ola added, “Syaf and I have been friends for years and I already released FUSE which she plays guitar for. When Syaf told me she was doing a new band inspired by cro mags and on vox I was excited to hear it – and was not disappointed – you are in for a real treat ! Can’t wait for this to drop! SEA Hardcore is doing mad bits rights now and people need to be paying attention!”
Syaf wraps it up with, “We’re so happy to announce our debut LP with QC which will be out on the 20th of September! We love Quality Control and all the releases they put out so we’re really honoured to be a part of the label.”
