Out now on District Records is Malaysian punk band Dirty Divider‘s brand new 5 track EP ‘Metanoia’. Joe Kidd of Dung fame had this to say about the release, “Terengganu’s Dirty Divider is back. now, here’s a band from my home state which I’ve been championing for decades. On this latest EP, again, to my ears, while there are mild hints of The Damned, and The Lords of the New Church – with generous helpings of noxious garage fumes – DD doesn’t sound like any other and these days such a “punk” band is very, very rare indeed. These days most “punk” bands try hard to be safe in their constituents. They don’t rock the sacred formulae and thus keep on copying other bands they like. Not DIRTY DIVIDER. These guys are brave, they do their own thing, they carve their own path and for that alone, I’ll always love them. and I’m not biased. honest!”
