Formed in Guwahati in 2015, ARSENIIC is an experimental metal act that explores a mixture of progressive metal and technical prog topped off with catchy hooks, polyrhythmic guitar riffs, dark ambient synths, and violent low-end grooves.
After their first record release entitled ‘Tides’ (2015)and their first steps as a live band, the group performed in various gigs in and around the city alongside multiple artists. They released another single in the year 2016 entitled ‘Skyline’. Due to inevitable situations, the band was inactive for almost two years until 2019. They decided to be back in the game with a new lineup.
After releasing their single, Maraud in 2020, Arseniic is back with their debut music video entitled, Ignite, released on 4th March 2023.
“Ignite” is a heavy metal anthem that depicts the unyielding determination of those who survive the relentless natural selection process. With powerful riffs and thunderous drums, the song motivates listeners to keep fighting in the battle of survival against the fittest. Despite the questions and doubts that may plague their minds, the song reminds us that refuge may be found in a far-off place. But ultimately, it’s a reminder that the weak ones always fall, and only the strong will continue to ignite the flames of perseverance.
The band is heavily influenced by the prog metal legends starting from Meshuggah, Textures, and Periphery to modern players like Volumes, David Maxim Micic, Destiny Potato, Intervals, etc
