Post Hardcore Band SHLTR Release Music Video For New Single [Singapore]

Singaporean Post-Hardcore act SHLTR has released a music video ‘Decay Part 2’, featuring Ahmad Zakir of SEASIGHT, from their upcoming 10-track LP.

Drawing inspirations from bands like Touche Amore, Title Fight and Birds In Row, SHLTR crafts a sound that’s both raw and emotionally resonant. The band, comprising of fulltime filmmakers, infuses their cinematic sensibilities into their music, evident in the video’s poignant storytelling and visual depth. SHLTR comprises members from different past bands like Safeguard and Hoyl – continuing and blending their riffing and lyrical style.

“Decay Part 2” is a writing in continuation of Seasight’s (@seasightrock) Decay from their Hard to Please EP which was released in 2016. “Decay Part 2” explores the unraveling of identity and connection, set against the backdrop of emotional trauma and relational breakdown. The song captures the feeling of being trapped – mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – and uses powerful imagery to paint a picture of someone caught in cycles of destruction, “The only place that is heaven – in this hole. Best place to hide, is the best place to die”.
