Malaysian pop punk band POKPANG have released their debut single. Check out the write up below:
“1 Malay + 1 Chinese = 2 Kelantanese. Two good friends from Kelantan, Malaysia, have surprised everyone with Pokpang, the name they chose for their band. Their mini album consists of three songs: ‘Tok Tahu Gapo Nok,’ ‘Nyaknyo Demo,’ and ‘SKML.’ What surprised their listeners is that they sing in their local dialect. No one has ever heard of Kelantanese pop-punk before. They might have heard of No Good, which also sings in the Kelantanese dialect, but they’re not a pop-punk band. Released under the local record label Pawerkord Music”
We will ALWAYS stop whatever we’re doing to support artists who want to continue...
