New Crossover Hardcore Band – Thenceforth – Formed [Philippines]

A lot of bands or one-off projects were formed during the past 2 years of pandemic hell. Here’s a brand new one that seems pretty frickin’ exciting from out in the Philippines featuring ex-members of Skychurch, Queso, The Republicats, etc.

“Thenceforth formed in November of 2021 from a huge collection of bands. On drums, we have Robert Dela Cruz, formerly of Skychurch, Queso, Wilabaliw, and currently in The Blackstone Conspiracy, on bass Xyroz Penaranda, formerly of Goldfish, Agaw Agmiat, The Republicats, and currently in Beewings and Combo Ni Procopio, on vocals Keibree Ebona, formerly of Murder Club, and Chris Encinas on guitar, formerly of Roots Rizal Reggae, The Republicats and currently in Beewings and Combo Ni Procopio, and finally Karl Perseveranda also on guitar.

The band has stated that their influences range from hardcore: Strife, Madball, Comeback Kid, Sick of it All, Bad Brains, Counterparts, END, Knocked Loose to metal bands like Sepultura, Slayer, and even Queen to mold their music.”

Their debut EP will be out in March and the band will begin hitting the stage on the following dates: Feb 4 and 19, March 12.
