Southern Malaysian unit CODE BREAKER return with another release for 2025, “Gravebound” — a punishing dive into mortality, guilt, and the inevitability of facing what lies beyond. The track doesn’t just hit hard; it wrestles with the truth that when death calls, there’s no escape.
Written as a reflection on death and what awaits after, “Gravebound” tears through waves of pure hardcore aggression, blending emotional weight with sheer sonic violence. Every riff feels like a shovel of dirt over a coffin lid — raw, suffocating, and final.
Recorded at Studio Efek Berat, mixed and mastered by Mr. Apek (Alyssa Maniac), and paired with visuals by @deeqeew, “Gravebound” continues to cement CODE BREAKER as one of the heaviest names to rise from Johor’s underground.
The band rallies support from Hanz Production, Motion X Palsu Production, cliques of All Lives In Violence Evil (A.L.I.V.E.), crews of Holy Violence 810, Mercicut Barbershop, and Cetak Terus Co., with special thanks to Radit (LintangXPukang) for the continued brotherhood within the scene.
“Gravebound” marks CODE BREAKER’s second single, with more material set to drop next year. Rumors from the underground suggest the band is cooking up something massive — a project that could shake not only the local hardcore scene but ripple across three major industries.
